The Future of Safety Education Starts Here.

A curriculum-linked, CPD-accredited programme created to change how the next generation learns about safety, health and wellbeing.

Imagine a world where children grow up not just learning about safety - but becoming the reason it improves for generations to come.

Shaping Safer Futures®, created by The Safety Superhero Academy®, is a story-led teacher training and classroom programme designed to support schools in embedding safety, health and wellbeing confidently and consistently across everyday teaching - inspiring the next generation of safety superheroes.

Why This, Why Now?

Safety, health and wellbeing are not taught consistently across the UK.

While many schools cover important topics such as road safety or online safety - particularly through statutory PSHE education in England - provision varies widely in focus, depth and confidence. Too often, safety is addressed as a series of isolated risks rather than as a mindset rooted in care, responsibility and everyday awareness.

At the same time, the picture beyond education hasn’t shifted.

Despite decades of focus on compliance, enforcement and top-down campaigns, HSE statistics continue to show little meaningful change in key areas such as fatal injuries, RIDDOR-reportable incidents and long-term health outcomes across many sectors.

We believe it’s time for a different approach.

A new way forward - starting with educators

Shaping Safer Futures® has been developed to empower the trusted adults who guide children’s learning, choices and everyday awareness.

By providing the right training, language and classroom-ready resources, we can:

  • Embed safety consciousness early

  • Shape behaviours before they become habits

  • Create a grassroots shift in how safety, health and wellbeing are understood

This isn’t about more rules.
It’s about raising a generation that sees care, awareness and responsibility as everyday essentials.

As industries such as construction, engineering and manufacturing face ongoing skills shortages, this early engagement also helps children understand STEM pathways - and the vital role safety plays in every future career.
